Trivić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Knin area , whereas often Croats (from Slovenia ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Knin area. In Jošavka Gornja in Bosnian Krajina every fourth inhabitant had the family name Trivić.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Trivić live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 290 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 18 cities and 23 other places, mostly in Zagreb (60), Rijeka (25), Split (<10), Vukovar (<10), and in Banovci in Vinkovci area (<10).
