In Croatia, Trifković families are predominantly Croats (from the Island of Korcule ), rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Middle Bosnia (Travnik area) and in Middle Bosnia (Sarajevo area). In Kacevac in Semberia (Bosnia) nearly every inhabitant had the family name Trifković.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Trifković live in Croatia today, in 17 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 10 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Vela Luka on the Island of Korcula (<10), Zadar (<10), Sisak (<10), Ogulin (<10), and in Rijeka (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
