In Croatia, Tasić families are mainly Croats (from Kotor, Montenegro ), less frequently Serbs, and barely Macedonians (from Split ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Serbia and in Bjelovar.
Prevalence
About 140 people with faimily name Tasić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Split (30), Zagreb (10), Rijeka (10), Cakovec (<10), and in Slatina (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1924 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
