Stolić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Pozega. According to some sources they are from Dubrovnik area, often Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Benkovac and Zadar.
Prevalence
About 100 people with faimily name Stolić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zagreb (15), Zadar (15), Sibenik (10), Rijeka (<10), and in Pozega (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1926 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
