About 40 people with faimily name Smoljanac live in Croatia today, in 17 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are only located in four Croatian cities and 8 other places, mostly in Bijelo Brdo in Vinkovci area (15), Pricac in Pleternica area (<10), Nova Gradiska (<10), Vrbje in Nova Gradiska area (<10), and in Osijek (<5).
