Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Salamunić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in four Croatian counties, threee cities and threee other places, mostly in Jelsa on the Island of Hvar (30), Split (10), Zagreb (10), Petrcane (<5), and in Gvozd in Glina area (<5).

Family name Salamunić is present in three countries on three continents.
