Sadiković families can be both Croats (the family name originates from western Bosnia ) and Bosniaks (from Cazinska Krajina Region, Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Velika Kladusa area). In Šestanovac in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every fourth inhabitant had the family name Sadiković.
Prevalence
About 190 people with faimily name Sadiković live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 27 other places, mostly in Zagreb (80), Rijeka (15), Pula (10), Vedro Polje in Hrvatska Kostajnica area (<10), and in Ivanic-Grad (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
