Rusić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Knin area , whereas often Croats (from Beli Manastir area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Knin and Osijek.

Prevalence

About 120 people with faimily name Rusić live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 370 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly.
They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 13 other places, mostly in Plavno (30), Split (20), Cepin in Osijek area (10), Biskupija in Knin area (10), and in Visnjevac (10).

"Rusich " is used by some 600 people in Russian Federation , about 200 in the United States , and some 200 people in Kyrgyzstan. "Russic " is used by small number of people in the United States. "Rusick " is used by some 100 people in the United States and small number in Canada.
