In Croatia, Resić families are generally Croats (from Bosnian Krajina ), very rarely Bosniaks (from Romania (Bosnia) ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Dubrovnik area. In Sokolovići in Romania (Bosnia) every third inhabitant had the family name Resić.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Resić live in Croatia today, in 15 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 30 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, four cities and 7 other places, mostly in Zagreb (<10), Split (<10), Vela Luka on the Island of Korcula (<10), Orebic on the Peljesac peninsula (<5), and in Dubravka in Dubrovnik area (<5).
