Repić families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Ludbreg area , barely Serbs and Hungarians (from Osijek area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdin and in Ludbreg area. In Repićevo Selo in Donja Stubica area every third inhabitant had the family name Repić.
Prevalence
About 310 people with faimily name Repić live in Croatia today, in 140 households. There were 260 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 34 cities and 35 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Mali Bukovec in Ludbreg area (30), Varazdin (30), Trogir (20), and in Kutina (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1683 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
