Ralić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Slunj area , whereas often Croats (from Vrbovsko ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slunj and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Ralić live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 400 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 26 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Plaski in Slunj area (20), Slavonski Brod (10), Mrljane on the Island of Pasman (<10), and in Osijek (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
