Rajšić families are often Serbs and they are mostly from Glina area , less frequently Croats (from Sisak ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Glina area and in Vukovar. In Staro Selo Topusko in Glina area every eighth inhabitant had the family name Rajšić.
Prevalence
About 260 people with faimily name Rajšić live in Croatia today, in 140 households. There were 510 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 31 cities and 36 other places, mostly in Topusko in Glina area (25), Vukovar (20), Gornja Bacuga (20), Zagreb (15), and in Velika Gorica (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
