Radanović families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Sinj area , often Serbs, very rarely Montenegrins. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and Zagreb. In Sičane in Sinj area every fifth inhabitant had the family name Radanović.
Prevalence
About 1400 people with faimily name Radanović live in Croatia today, in 620 households. There were 1500 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 63 cities and 146 other places, mostly in Zagreb (250), Split (180), Sicane in Sinj area (65), Osijek (55), and in Sisak (40).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over forty times, the first time 1750 in source 18th Century Census.
