In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Varazdin and Varazdinske Toplice. In Petkovec Toplički in Varazdinske Toplice every fourth inhabitant had the family name Prstec.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Prstec live in Croatia today, in 90 households. There were 250 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 19 other places, mostly in Varazdinske Toplice (50), Petkovec Toplicki (50), Varazdin (35), Zagreb (25), and in Krizevci (15).
