Prijić families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Knin area , whereas often Croats (from Koprivnica ) and Bosniaks (from middle Bosnia). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pozega area and in Knin area. In Mijači in Pozega area every third inhabitant had the family name Prijić.
Prevalence
About 210 people with faimily name Prijić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 410 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 28 cities and 25 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Biskupija in Knin area (25), Rijeka (20), Split (15), and in Osijek (10).
Outside Croatia
Family name Prijić (including: Prijic , Prievich and Priyich ) is present in 13 countries on three continents. The family name "Prijic " is used by small number of people in Germany , small number in the United States , and small number of people in Italy.
