Potrebica families are Croats and they are mostly from east Herzegovina. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in East Herzegovina (Trebinje area) and in Dubrovnik. In Cicrina in East Herzegovina every fifth inhabitant had the family name Potrebica.
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Potrebica live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in four Croatian counties and four other places, mostly in Dubrovnik (25), Slano in Dubrovnik area (10), Gornje Obuljeno (10), Pozega (10), and in Zagreb (<10).
