About 90 people with faimily name Popovački live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in 7 Croatian counties, in 9 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Duga Resa (25), Karlovac (15), Zagreb (10), Dobrenici in Ogulin area (<10), and in Zadar (<10).
Outside Croatia
At least three families with this surname emigrated from Croatia to: the Netherlands (1), the United States (1), and to Australia (1). Family name Popovački is present in three countries on three continents.
