About 100 people with faimily name Popara live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 140 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 15 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Grubisno Polje (<10), Mali Gradac (<10), Sibine (<10), and in Split (<10).
