In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zlatar area and in Zagreb. In Gornja Brckovčina in Krizevci every ninth inhabitant had the family name Plenar.
Prevalence
About 40 people with faimily name Plenar live in Croatia today, in 15 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located and four other Croatian places, mostly in Prepustovec in Zlatar area (10), Preseka in Vrbovec area (<10), Zagreb (<5), Konjscina in Zlatar area (<5), and in Zlatar (<5).
