Pincan families are frequently Croats and they are mostly from Umag , less frequently Italians. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Pula and Rijeka. In Deklići in Novigrad area every second inhabitant had the family name Pincan.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Pincan live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 30 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in threee Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Pula (20), Deklici in Novigrad area (<10), Rijeka (<10), Novigrad (<10), and in Buzet (<5).
