In Croatia, Petrovič families are Croats by relative majority (from Lepoglava ), equally Slovenes (from Slovenia ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Slovenia.
Prevalence
Only a few people with faimily name Petrovič live in Croatia today, in four households only. They are located and another small Croatian place , mostly in Zagreb (<5), Bjelovar (<5), Sveti Ivan Zelina (<5), Poljane (<5), and in Zlogonje (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over two hundred times, the first time 1749 in source 18th Century Census.
