Petrinić families are Croats and they are mostly from Zlatar area. According to some sources they are from Orlec on the Island of Cres. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Rijeka. In Nart Savski in Dugo Selo area every second inhabitant had the family name Petrinić.
