Pavličević families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Ludbreg area , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rama, Bosnia (Prozor area) and in Dubrovnik. In Proslap in Rama (Bosnia) every ninth inhabitant had the family name Pavličević.
Prevalence
About 470 people with faimily name Pavličević live in Croatia today, in 190 households. There were 310 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 50 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 30 cities and 51 other places, mostly in Zagreb (45), Dubrovnik (25), Jalzabet in Ludbreg area (20), Pleternica (20), and in Popovaca in Kutina area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1735 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
