Pavalić families are Croats and they are mostly from Donja Stubica area. According to some sources they are from Gornje Stubice (Brerzje). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Donja Stubica area. In Brezje in Donja Stubica area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Pavalić.
Prevalence
About 90 people with faimily name Pavalić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 70 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Brezje in Donja Stubica area (15), Stubicke Toplice in Oroslavje area (15), Donja Stubica (<10), and in Josipovo in Slatina area (<10).

Family name Pavalić is present in four countries on four continents. The family name "Pavalic " is used by few people in Qatar and few people in the United States.
