In Croatia, Pantović families are predominantly Croats (from Virovitica ), rarely Serbs, and very rarely Montenegrins (from Benkovac ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Dubrovnik and Pula.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Pantović live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 13 cities and four other places, mostly in Dubrovnik (10), Virovitica (<10), Rijeka (<10), Split (<10), and in Mugeba (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1926 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
