Osmanagić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Cazinska Krajina Region (Bosnia), often Bosniaks (from Bosnian Posavina ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanski Novi area) and in Cazins Region, Bosnia (Bosanska Krupa area).
Prevalence
About 80 people with faimily name Osmanagić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 20 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 8 other places, mostly in Zagreb (25), Sisak (20), Osijek (10), Petrinja (<10), and in Pula (<5).
