In Croatia, Nezić families are generally Croats (from Nova Gradiska area ), very rarely Serbs, and barely Bosniaks (from Cazins Region (Bosnia) ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosanian Posavina (Bosanska Gradiska area) and in Nova Gradiska area. In Hasići in Cazins Region (Bosnia) every sixth inhabitant had the family name Nezić.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Nezić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in 9 Croatian counties, in 11 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Donji Varos in Nova Gradiska area (20), Zagreb (<10), Slavonski Brod (<10), Pakrac (<5), and in Hvar on the Island of Hvar (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
