Mrvoš families are predominantly Serbs and they are mostly from Vrbovsko , but often Croats (also from Vrbovsko ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Ogulin and Vrbovsko. In Tuk Vojni in Delnice area every third inhabitant had the family name Mrvoš.
Prevalence
About 280 people with faimily name Mrvoš live in Croatia today, in 120 households. There were 360 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 21 cities and 26 other places, mostly in Rijeka (45), Zagreb (40), Ljubosina (25), Gomirje (20), and in Ostarije in Ogulin area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
