In Croatia, Moskatelo families are Croats (from the Island of Hvar ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Split and in Middle Bosnia (Sarajevo area). In Bakar-Dio(Sveti Kuzam) in Rijeka every seventh inhabitant had the family name Moskatelo.
