Minić families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Sisak , often Serbs, very rarely Montenegrins. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Glina area.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Minić live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 170 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Zagreb (40), Rijeka (15), Ostrozin in Glina area (<10), Sisak (<10), and in Dugo Selo (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1729 in source Catholic Church Parish Records.
