Milošić families are Croats and they are mostly from Zlatar area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Glina and Zagreb. In Pokupsko Vratečko in Petrinja area every sixth inhabitant had the family name Milošić.
Prevalence
About 230 people with faimily name Milošić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 320 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 30 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 20 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Zagreb (35), Petrinja (30), Sisak (25), Marija Bistrica in Zlatar area (25), and in Split (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
