Miholić families are Croats and they are mostly from Krapina area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Krapina area. In Srebrnjak in Samobor area every third inhabitant had the family name Miholić.
Prevalence
About 520 people with faimily name Miholić live in Croatia today, in 230 households. There were 510 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 33 cities and 53 other places, mostly in Zagreb (240), Kerestinec in Samobor area (15), Pula (15), Sesvete (10), and in Popovaca in Kutina area (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
