About 40 people with faimily name Mezić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 60 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 40 percent. They are located and two other Croatian places, mostly in Zadar (15), Zagreb (<10), Rijeka (<5), Ploce (<5), and in Zaostrog in Ploce area (<5).
