Manojlović families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Knin area , whereas often Croats (iz Karlovca, Ogulina or Herzegovina). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Karlovac and Zagreb. In Gornji Sjeničak in Karlovac every fifth inhabitant had the family name Manojlović.
Prevalence
About 1100 people with faimily name Manojlović live in Croatia today, in 540 households. There were 2000 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 50 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 50 cities and 111 other places, mostly in Zagreb (165), Karlovac (60), Trpinja in Vukovar area (50), Rijeka (45), and in Vukovar (35).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over thirty times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
