Malešić families are Croats and they are mostly from Jastrebarsko. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Jastrebarsko. In Zdihovo in Jastrebarsko every fifth inhabitant had the family name Malešić.
Prevalence
About 120 people with faimily name Malešić live in Croatia today, in 50 households. There were 130 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in 8 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 12 other places, mostly in Jastrebarsko (15), Zagreb (15), Lipje (15), Karlovac (10), and in Velika Gorica (10).
