About 90 people with faimily name Makjanić live in Croatia today, in 40 households. There were 90 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in four Croatian counties, in 7 cities and 5 other places, mostly in Jelsa (40) and Svirce (20) on the Island of Hvar, Split (15), Rijeka (<10), and in Zagreb (<10).
