Lovrinčević families are Croats and they are mostly from Imotski area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Makarska area and in Split. In places Biokovsko Selo and Župa in Makarska area every tenth inhabitant had the family name Lovrinčević.
Prevalence
About 310 people with faimily name Lovrinčević live in Croatia today, in 120 households. There were 180 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 70 percent. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 17 cities and 17 other places, mostly in Split (185), Osijek (40), Zagreb (20), Bizovac in Valpovo area (<10), and in Dubrovnik (<10).
