In Croatia, Lindić families are almost entirely Croats (from Samobor ), barely Slovenes (from Umag ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Samobor. In Hrastina Samoborska in Samobor every seventh inhabitant had the family name Lindić.
Prevalence
About 60 people with faimily name Lindić live in Croatia today, in 20 households. There were 50 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 7 cities and four other places, mostly in Samobor (30), Zagreb (<10), Hrastina Samoborska (<10), Zubrinci in Vrbovsko area (<10), and in Rijeka (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned few times, the first time 1926 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
