Levačić families are Croats and they are mostly from Cakovec. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cakovec and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 700 people with faimily name Levačić live in Croatia today, in 280 households. There were 600 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in almost all Croatian counties, in 29 cities and 73 other places, mostly in Cakovec (85), Zagreb (55), Mursko Sredisce (55), Selnica in Mursko Sredisce area (40), and in Zadar (25).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
