In Croatia, Lazović families are predominantly Croats (from Rijeka area ), rarely Serbs, and very rarely Montenegrins (from Kotor, Montenegro ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Rijeka and Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 70 people with faimily name Lazović live in Croatia today, in 30 households. There were 10 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number multiplied. They are located in 10 Croatian counties, in 13 cities and 9 other places, mostly in Zagreb (20), Zadar (<10), Rijeka (<10), Umag (<5), and in Varazdin (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
