Ladić families are Croats and they are mostly from Cakovec area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Cakovec and Varazdin. In Bogdanovec in Cakovec area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Ladić.
Prevalence
About 280 people with faimily name Ladić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 300 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 28 other places, mostly in Zagreb (30), Varazdin (30), Cakovec (30), Dobropoljana on the Island of Pasman (20), and in Sracinec in Varazdin area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
