Kurilić families are almost entirely Croats and they are mostly from the Island of Pag , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born on the Island of Pag and on the Island of Pag.
Prevalence
About 240 people with faimily name Kurilić live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 20 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 11 other places, mostly in Metajna on the Island of Pag (75), Rijeka (70), Pag on the Island of Pag (40), Zagreb (20), and in Zadar (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1929 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
