Krivokuća families are mainly Serbs and they are mostly from Karlovac , whereas often Croats (from Knin area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Karlovac and Zagreb. In Manjerovići in Karlovac every third inhabitant had the family name Krivokuća.
Prevalence
About 180 people with faimily name Krivokuća live in Croatia today, in 110 households. There were 420 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 23 cities and 31 other places, mostly in Karlovac (60), Zagreb (20), Manjerovici (10), Rijeka (<10), and in Gornja Trebinja (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
