Krasić families are generally Croats and they are mostly from Bosnian Krajina , less frequently Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Bosnian Krajina (Bosanska Dubica area) and in Zagreb.
Prevalence
About 140 people with faimily name Krasić live in Croatia today, in 70 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number increased by 70 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 18 cities and 10 other places, mostly in Zagreb (85), Drnis (15), Sibenik (15), Otok in Vinkovci area (<10), and in Rijeka (<10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over ten times, the first time 1906 in source Yearbook and Directory of Literary Society of St. Jerome 1906.
