In Croatia, Krajčinović families are predominantly Serbs, rarely Croats (from Biograd na moru area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Petrinja and in Koprivnica area. In Jabukovac in Petrinja every sixth inhabitant had the family name Krajčinović.
Prevalence
About 30 people with faimily name Krajčinović live in Croatia today, in 15 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased significantly. They are located in four Croatian counties and 5 other places, mostly in Veliki Botinovac in Koprivnica area (<10), Jabukovac (<10), Mali Botinovac in Koprivnica area (<10), Pakostane in Biograd na moru area (<5), and in Pula (<5).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1917 in source List of Dignitaries, Officials and Public Servants of the Kingdom of Croatia-Slavonia.
