Kozlović families are mainly Croats and they are mostly from Buje , often Italians (from Buzet area ). In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Umag and in Slovenia. In Čepić in Buzet area every third inhabitant had the family name Kozlović.
Prevalence
About 180 people with faimily name Kozlović live in Croatia today, in 80 households. There were 200 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number decreased by 10 percent. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 14 cities and 24 other places, mostly in Umag (25), Juricani (20), Setus in Sisak area (20), Buje (15), and in Zagreb (10).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over five times, the first time 1902 in source Hartmann's General List of Apartments in Zagreb.
