Klinac families are usually Croats and they are mostly from Vrgorac , rarely Serbs. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Vrgorac and Ploce. In Kokorići in Vrgorac every sixth inhabitant had the family name Klinac.
Prevalence
About 170 people with faimily name Klinac live in Croatia today, in 60 households. There were 80 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number doubled. They are located in 6 Croatian counties, in 12 cities and 16 other places, mostly in Kokorici (30), Stasevica (25), Zagreb (20), Makarska (15), and in Nova Raca in Bjelovar area (10).
