Klanfar families are Croats and they are mostly from Zapresic area. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and Pozega. In Brajdić Selo in Slunj area every fourth inhabitant had the family name Klanfar.
Prevalence
About 220 people with faimily name Klanfar live in Croatia today, in 100 households. There were 230 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number remains constant. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 16 cities and 30 other places, mostly in Zagreb (55), Jakovlje in Zapresic area (35), Dramalj (20), Karlovac (15), and in Rijeka (10).
