In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Zagreb and in Zapresic area. In Jakovlje in Zapresic area every sixtieth inhabitant had the family name Klančir.
Prevalence
About 50 people with faimily name Klančir live in Croatia today, in 17 households. There were 100 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number halved. They are located in two Croatian counties, two cities and another small place , mostly in Jakovlje in Zapresic area (45), Zagreb (15), and in Zapresic (<5).
Outside Croatia
Family name Klančir (including: Klancir , Clancier ) is present in five countries on three continents. The family name "Klancir " is used by some 50 people in the United States.
