Kezić families are Croats and they are mostly from Banja Luka area (Bosnia). According to some sources they are from village Kezici near Split and from Poljica. In the past century, relatively most of Croatian residents bearing this family name were born in Banja Luka Region, Bosnia (Banja Luka area) and in Split.
Prevalence
About 370 people with faimily name Kezić live in Croatia today, in 150 households. There were 110 of them in the middle of the past century, and their number more than tripled. They are located in the most of Croatian counties, in 25 cities and 45 other places, mostly in Split (75), Zagreb (35), Zadar (25), Rijeka (20), and in Vojnic in Duga Resa area (15).
In the sources analysed in the project Acta Croatica so far, the name is mentioned over twenty times, the first time 1924 in source Emigration Commission Zagreb.
